This website is run by Portsmouth United Volleyball Club (“the club”, “we”). You can contact us at puvc2022@gmail.com.

What this website collects

This website doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our fonts are hosted on this site.

Saved games

If you save games using the bookmark buttons on the fixtures page, the list of games you’ve saved is kept in a cookie called pu_saved_games on your device for up to a year, so they’re still there next time you visit. It’s only used for this feature, it isn’t sent to us or shared, and you can clear it at any time from the Saved games page or your browser settings.

Brand portal

If you enter your first name in the brand portal, it’s kept in a cookie called pu_portal_name on your device for up to a year so the portal can say hello next time. It isn’t sent to us or shared, and you can change it in the portal or clear it in your browser settings.

The site uses your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab, for three small conveniences: remembering that you’ve seen the homepage intro, keeping site search quick, and keeping the brand portal unlocked after you enter its password. This information stays in your browser and is never sent to us or anyone else.

Videos

Videos on our homepage are hosted on YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video loads in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube (Google) may then collect information and set cookies under Google’s privacy policy.

Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. TBC: hosting provider name

If you contact us

If you email us or message us on Instagram, we use your details only to reply and, if you join, to manage your membership. We don’t sell or share your details for marketing.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email us and we’ll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

How we take, use and store photos and video of members and visitors is set out in our photo consent policy.
